I work remotely with competitive youth, high school, and college athletes across the United States who often perform well in practice but struggle in games, overthink under pressure, fear mistakes, battle confidence swings, feel performance anxiety, and care deeply about their sport. These athletes don’t need more motivation, they need strategies, consistency & structure.
When athletes learn to control their emotions and responses under pressure… mistakes stop spiraling, confidence & self-trust increases, focus is on the controllables of performance, preparation becomes intentional, communication improves, leadership & advocacy become more natural, and they shift to responding with purpose.

Working with Ashley was one of the best decisions we made during my daughter’s college recruitment journey. The process of being recruited to play Division 1 field hockey is intense, emotional, and at times overwhelming. At the same time of trying to get recruited, our daughter began struggling with her performance and maintaining focus during a competitive travel season. The pressure of inconsistent play combined with the ups and downs of recruitment, started to take a real toll on her confidence and enjoyment of the game. That’s when Ashley stepped in and made a remarkable difference. Through tailored strategies, consistent support, and an intuitive understanding of what young athletes go through, she helped our daughter regain her composure, build mental resilience, and reconnect with her love for the sport. Ashley was always engaged and supportive with every call, follow up text and scheduled session. Our daughter now committed to a D1 program that’s a perfect fit—athletically, academically, and personally. If your athlete needs support staying grounded, focused, and mentally strong, we can’t recommend Ashley and Aspire Mindset enough.Posted on Google Heather BeisselTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. She helped my teenage daughter improve so much with gee mindset while playing volleyball. She used to get in her head so much when she made a mistake that she would cry during games… coach Ash helped her with coping skills that she currently uses while playing and she no longer gets in her head and moves on from making a mistake so easily now. I highly recommend working with coach Ash! She is amazing and so sweet! We love her!Posted on Google Genevieve MarcelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The Aspire Mindset System for Athletes is the highest-level offering for athletes who want to transform their mindset so that it is stronger for sports & life. This 12-week system provides athletes with consistency, accountability, and strategies to develop mental toughness and confidence.
Each week, athletes are setting goals, reflecting on performances and training, identifying wins & challenges, and understanding a new effective mindset strategy based in sports psychology they are able to apply & keep in their mental toolkit.
This effective system builds self-awareness, self-trust, and habits that create a long-term mindset for life. Athletes will complete this system with written notes, reminders, and a performance checklist so they can continue to utilize the learned strategies every day.
To support buy-in & consistency, athletes may begin with the first 4 weeks of the Aspire Mindset System before committing to the full 12-week transformation.
The Confidence Reset is a targeted, short-term coaching intervention designed to support athletes through a specific challenge. This includes a recent dip in confidence or increased anxiety, overcoming a mental block from learning a specific skill, or preparation for an event such as a recruiting showcase or competition.
This 4-weeks is not about fixing everything at once. Instead, athletes will learn practical tools to manage pressure, calm the nervous system, and regain emotional control so confidence improves and they feel prepared. This is a quick mindset reset to improve confidence through awareness and intentional strategies & goals. True habit change will need consistency over time.
At the end of the four weeks, we review progress and determine what level of support makes the most sense moving forward.
The Performance Plan is an add-on for athletes who don’t need weekly coaching, but need targeted, flexible support. Many athletes often start with the Aspire Mindset System or the Confidence Reset first before adding on more sessions to use throughout the year.

Mental skills training is a structured approach to developing confidence, focus, emotional control, and performance consistency. Through mindset training, athletes learn practical tools—such as performance routines, visualization, self-talk, and refocus techniques—to manage pressure and compete with clarity in practices and competition.
Traditional sports coaching focuses on physical skills, tactics, and technique. Mindset training focuses on how athletes think, respond, and perform under pressure. Mental skills training teaches athletes how to regulate emotions, recover from mistakes, and trust themselves when stakes are high.
Mental skills training is ideal for youth, high school, and college athletes who:
Struggle with confidence or overthinking
Feel anxious or tense before or during competition
Play well in practice but inconsistently in games
Have difficulty bouncing back after mistakes
Mindset training helps athletes perform closer to their true ability.
Some athletes notice improvements in focus and confidence within the first few sessions. Lasting change typically develops through consistent mental skills training over 8–12 weeks or longer, as habits, routines, and mindset strategies become automatic under pressure.
Yes. Mental skills training directly addresses performance anxiety by teaching athletes how to stay grounded, manage nerves, and refocus their attention in high-stress moments. Mindset training replaces anxious reactions with clear, repeatable responses.
Mental skills training may include:
Confidence-building routines
Refocus and grounding techniques
Visualization for performance
Process-based goal setting
Positive and effective self-talk
Emotional regulation strategies
Each athlete’s mindset training plan is personalized.
Mental skills training helps athletes rely on habits instead of emotions. By practicing mindset strategies consistently, athletes are better able to control their response to pressure and perform with steadiness, rather than fluctuating based on outcomes or external stress.
Yes. All mindset training sessions are held 1:1 with the athlete. This creates a confidential, supportive environment where athletes can build trust, develop self-awareness, and apply mental skills honestly and effectively.
Absolutely. The mindset training athletes learn transfers directly to academics, work, and life. Skills such as stress management, confidence, communication, and goal setting support long-term success beyond competition.
If your athlete is talented, works hard, and wants to compete with greater confidence, focus, and emotional control, mental skills training can help close the gap between practice performance and game-day execution.
